For candidates
A company wants to see how you work, not how you write a CV.
The company that asked you here uses the Rareix assessment instead of CV screening. It is one sitting, on the kind of problems the role actually involves, and nobody sits it unless a company has asked to see them.
What happens
Four parts, one sitting. You talk through your reasoning as you go.
Your screen is recorded and you narrate what you are doing while you do it. The narration is the part that separates people, so say the quiet bits out loud.
- 01
Diagnostic
Something in a revenue system is wrong. Work out why, and say how you know.
- 02
Design
Design a process for a scenario, and say where it breaks first.
- 03
Data
Answer a question from data that does not agree with itself, and say what you trust.
- 04
Communication
Explain what you just did to someone who does not care how it works.
Before you sit it
Nothing to revise for.
- What it testsThe parts are about how you reason, not what you remember. We do not test tool trivia, and the details change between sittings, so there is nothing to memorise.
- What you needA quiet room, a stable connection, and a screen you are happy to share for the sitting.
- How it is markedAn AI model marks each part against a written standard, and a person reviews the marking before any result goes anywhere.
What you get, either way
Three things back, whatever the result.
- 01
Your score
On what the role actually needs, part by part. Where you were strong, and where you were not.
- 02
A gap report
What specifically was weak and what to work on next. Useful whether or not this role goes anywhere.
- 03
Your recording
Yours to keep. Nothing about it is shared without your say-so.
Who sees it
Only the company that asked you, and only if you say so.
- Only the company that asked youand only if you say so. We ask you, naming the company, before anything is shared.
- A weak result is never sharedA result below the bar goes to nobody. You still get the score and the gap report.
- Withdraw any timeAsk and we stop sharing the recording and delete it. That includes after a placement.
- No selling your dataYour details are not sold, rented, or shared with anyone outside the search you sat for.
Questions
What candidates ask first.
- What does it cost me?
- Nothing. The company pays Rareix. Candidates never pay, for the assessment, the result or a placement.
- Can I sit it without being asked by a company?
- Not at the moment. The assessment runs as part of a company’s search, so you sit it when a company has asked to see how you work. If you would like to be considered for future roles, send us your profile.
- Do I need to know a specific tool?
- No. It is not a tool test. The parts use exports, sheets and a scenario, and what is marked is how you reason, not whether you remember a menu location.
- Who marks it?
- An AI model marks each part against a written standard, and a person reviews the marking before any result goes anywhere.
- What if I do badly?
- The result is not shared with the company or anyone else. You still get the score and the gap report, so you know what to work on.
- Can I keep and reuse the result?
- Yes. The score, the gap report and the recording are yours. Use them elsewhere if you want to.
- What is recorded, and for how long?
- Your screen and your voice for the sitting. The recording is held for the search it belongs to and the placement guarantee that follows, and deleted whenever you ask. The privacy page has the full detail.
- What happens after I sit it?
- Your result comes back to you. If you clear the bar for the role, the company sees your score, your recording with your say-so, and an interview guide drawn from your session. From there it is their process.
