Seat bands
The seat fee scales with the seat. The placement rate does not.
Placement is always 13.5% of first-year salary. The monthly seat fee steps with the salary band, because a senior seat costs more to keep filled.
| Salary band | Seat / month | Per year | Placement fee (13.5%) |
|---|---|---|---|
| $50,000 – $60,000 | $250 | $3,000 | $6,750 – $8,100 |
| $60,001 – $90,000 | $300 | $3,600 | $8,100 – $12,150 |
| $90,001 – $130,000 | $400 | $4,800 | $12,150 – $17,550 |
| $130,001+ | $550 | $6,600 | $17,550+ |
The seat is cancellable at any time and covers free replacement search, annual re-testing and an interview guide for the seat.
Worked example

| First-year total | $21,000 | |
| The same hire at 25% | placement only, on the start date | $30,000 |
Questions
What people ask before they sign.
- Why is the monthly fee attached to a seat rather than a person?
- Because the thing you are buying is a role that stays filled by someone who meets the standard. If your hire leaves in month seven, the subscription continues and the replacement search is free. You are not paying a second placement fee for the same seat. It also means the incentive runs the right way: we lose money on a bad placement rather than earning a second fee from it.
- What does a $120,000 hire cost in year one?
- Placement is 13.5% of $120,000, so $16,200, payable when they start. At that salary the seat is $400 a month, so $4,800 across the first year. Total first-year cost $21,000. A recruiter charging 25% would take $30,000 for the placement alone, with no recording, no score, no interview guide and no replacement cover.
- What happens if the person leaves?
- While the seat is active, the replacement search is free, with no new placement fee. We ask for the seat to have been active for at least three months, which is there to stop the obvious abuse case and nothing else. If you close the role entirely, cancel the seat and you owe nothing further.
- Is there a rebate if it goes wrong quickly?
- The free replacement is the rebate, and we think it is the better structure. A cash refund leaves you where you started, which is short an ops hire. If you would genuinely rather have the money back, say so on the call and we will write it into the terms.
- Do you charge a retainer?
- No. No retainer, no exclusivity, no engagement fee. You pay when someone starts. That is deliberate. A retainer moves the risk of a search onto the client before it has produced anything, and that risk belongs with us.
- Why is it half the market rate?
- Because it is priced against a model built for a different decade. A traditional agency carries consultants, desks and advertising, and the fee has to cover all of it whether or not the hire lasts. We are a small team, and the expensive part, deciding whether someone is actually good, is an assessment marked the same way every time rather than a consultant's afternoon. So the saving is a cost structure rather than a discount, which is why it holds. Recruitment being hit and miss at that price is the reason we built this.
- What is not included?
- We do not do contract or interim placement, we do not run your interview process, and we do not write your offer. We place permanent RevOps and GTM engineering roles and we hand you the evidence to make the decision. If you need a broader search partner we are the wrong firm and we will say so.
Tell us the role. We'll tell you honestly whether we can fill it.
Nothing owed until someone starts. If the search is wrong for us, we will say so on the call.
